The G Running Diary
Writing about running can take along time. So now where have I been? Just
working. Nothing interesting at all. Every weekend I get out for some
kind of run, but adding up all the weekends with no weekday running
means that I'm not all that fit and running the risk of injury. And,
missing out on weekday running means that I just keep building up
stress. So I cut back on caffeine and alcohol, and I got out for some
small running (30 minutes) and I feel a bit better. Not so much of a
blob in a desk chair. I enjoy the morning run the most. It is a good
start to the day, and when crap happens, I can think, well, at least I
ran this morning. It was my weight as well as my health that finally
made me panic and get out again. I used to weigh 127, sometimes
fluctuating over 130. suddenly I was 132 fluctuating to 136! Eek. So
just one healthy week fixed that. Now to try and keep it up, I am off to
Las Vegas Wednesday for Comdex. This is not the best place to run. Don
and I ran up and down some strange neighborhood streets not too far off
the strip one time when we stayed I there. The weather was hot--about
100 degrees. This was before any Badwater ideas. I'm sure people thought
we were wacky. I thought we were. I think we did not know the concept of
carrying 2 bottles at that time.
