The G Running Diary
There is no trace left of the quad pain from the Quad, but other things
hurt. I've been moving all week, and I treat it like a workout. Who
would have thought books could be so heavy? Or that I really had that
many books? Because I'm only moving a mile away, I made lots of little
trips with stuff. Maybe I will be all buffed when I am done. I am ready
to run again though. No events planned this weekend, but next weekend
Don and I will run Fear and Loathing in San Francisco, hosted by Hollis
Lenderking. Even though it is all roads, it is fun and attracts
ultrarunners who usually stay away from the roads. Maybe they like the
fact that you can stop and get a latte pretty much any time you want. Or
it's the roaming aid stations delivered out of cars. It is definitely
low key fun and an odd collision with the non-ultrarunner world when you
go running up Market Street.
So I am leaving this Mountain View/Los Altos neighborhood that I
occasionally ran around and going to Palo Alto. I'm sure I will find new
streets to run around. The weekends are always trails (except for Fear
and Loathing) but the short weekday runs are when I like to run out the
front door and see my immediate surroundings. That is, when I do go
running.
